POLICY AND PROGRAM POSTER PRESENTATIONS

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 23:59 PDT FRIDAY 30 OCTOBER

Public Health 2027 is seeking the latest and most relevant public health policies, programs and interventions to be presented in this interactive format.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Priority will be given to recently implemented work presenting substantive outcomes, timely evidence or a meaningful advancement in public health policy or practice.

Data, other research, and abstracts presented at other conferences will not be accepted.

Submissions must include results at the time of submission. Submitters will be asked to identify the status of the policy or program design and implementation at the time of submission.

Authors with abstracts describing policies, programs or interventions that are planned, under development, not yet implemented or do not yet have results available are encouraged to submit their work for consideration at Public Health 2028 once implementation is complete and substantive results are available.

PRESENTATION TIMES

Presenters will engage with participants during two dedicated poster presentation sessions on Wednesday 17 March from 16:00 - 17:30 and Thursday 18 March from 8:00 - 9:00.

REVIEW CRITERIA

The following criteria will be used by reviewers to evaluate each submission:

Objectives – Does the program or policy address a public health need, provide a clear rationale and clearly state its objectives?

Methods – Is the development of the program or policy clearly described, and are the methods used to measure outcomes appropriate to the stated objectives?

Outcomes and evaluation – Are the outcomes and evaluation clearly described and appropriate, and do they address the stated objectives?

Conclusions – Are the conclusions and interpretations justified and supported by the outcomes and evaluation?

Application to public health – Does the abstract clearly demonstrate how the findings can be applied to advance future public health policy development or program development?

Overall quality and clarity – Is the abstract well written, clear and coherent?

GUIDELINES

Submissions must meet the following criteria otherwise, they will not be accepted for peer review:

Submissions MUST be completed using the template provided and be submitted electronically.

The template CANNOT be changed to include additional sections. The template must be submitted as a Word document.

Abstracts must not exceed 300 words, excluding the title and section headings.

A maximum of two (2) submissions may be submitted as the presenting author.

The submitting author certifies that all co-authors and/or co-presenters agree to the submission.

POLICY PROGRAM TEMPLATE

ACCEPTANCE

Submitters will be notified of the outcome by Tuesday 15 December.

All speakers who present must be registered for at least one day of the conference by Tuesday 2 March in order to be included in the program.

No financial assistance is available for registration, travel, or accommodation fees.
