CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

We are now accepting submissions for presentation at Public Health 2027. Our goal is to present an integrated scientific program of research, policy and program perspectives that encourages participants and presenters to connect, share, and learn from each other.

Each year, the scientific program is shaped by submissions that undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to assess their quality and relevance. This process is fundamental to ensuring the scientific integrity and rigour of the conference.

GUIDELINES

Proposals may be submitted in either English or French and will be peer-reviewed according to the language of submission and the keyword category.

Simultaneous interpretation will not be provided and French submitters must be comfortable presenting in English.

Each individual may submit a maximum of two abstracts as Presenting Author.

All submissions must demonstrate a clear public health focus or approach. Abstracts focused primarily on individual clinical care, clinical practice, diagnosis or treatment will not be accepted, unless a broader public health relevance is identified.

All accepted presenters are required to register for a minimum of one day of the conference.

No financial assistance is available for registration, travel, or accommodation fees.

INDIGENOUS PEOPLES OR POPULATIONS PRESENTATION

CPHA is committed to honouring Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, Métis) traditional knowledge, spirituality, practices and data sovereignty throughout our scientific program.

Submissions will be considered to have an Indigenous focus when they involve First Nations, Inuit, Métis Peoples or populations. This includes studies or programs that include:

  • Primary data collection or analysis involving Indigenous Peoples or populations;
  • Secondary data analysis, including systematic reviews and analyses of existing databases when participants are known to be Indigenous;
  • Describes a program, policy or initiative developed for or with Indigenous Peoples, populations or communities;
  • Findings will impact First Nations, Inuit, Métis Peoples or populations; and
  • Includes Indigenous knowledge, perspectives, practices or approaches.

All submitting authors must indicate whether the abstract focuses on Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit or Métis) Peoples or populations. If yes, they will be asked to indicate the nature of this focus, how Indigenous Peoples or communities were engaged, and how Indigenous voices and relevant historical or cultural contexts were incorporated.
